Fructose, also known as levulose, is a naturally occurring monosaccharide that can be found in fruits and honey.

Crystalline Fructose Powder is one kind of address sugar. It is often used for the patients of glucose metabolism and liver dysfunction and promote the amount of beneficial bacteria. Therefore it is the idea sweetener used in the food for diabetes, obese patients and children. 

Crystalline fructose is a processed sweetener derived from corn that is almost entirely fructose. It can also be made from sucrose (table sugar) by splitting the fructose and glucose molecules. Crystalline fructose consists of at least 98% pure fructose, any remainder being water and trace minerals. It is used as a sweetener in the likes of beverages and yogurts, where it substitutes for high-fructose corn syrup (HFCS) and table sugar. Crystalline fructose is estimated to be about 20 percent sweeter than table sugar,and 5% sweeter than HFCS.

Functions of Fructose

1. Crystalline fructose is a proccessed sweetener derived from corn that is almost entirely fructose. It consists of at least 98% pure fructose, any remainder being water and trace minerals. It is used as a sweetener in the likes of beverages and yogurts

2. Crystalline fructose has three advantages: with low glycemic-index, it can enter into intestine directly and be digested and absorbed without being metabolized through insulin, which will be good for health; it can present streptococcus in oral cavity from producing dextran because it cannot easily be changed into acid by the streptococcus in oral cavity.

3. Crystalline fructose will not cause decayed tooth; it can control people’s weigh effectively by increasing the felling of satiety and reducing fat because it is sweeter than cane sugar but with lower calorie.
