Characteristics: L-phenylalanine is colorless to white leaf-like crystal or white crystal powder, slightly has special smell and taste bitter. It will melt and decompose in about 283°C, L-phenylalanine is soluble in ehter and alkali liquid. L-phenylalanine is stable in hesting, sunshine and air. It will color when it meets glucose and heats. It isn’t stable in alkali.
