【Chemical Properties】Colorless cubic crystal or white crystal; salted cool and light bitter smell; relative density: 1.527; sublimating at 350℃; boiling point is 520℃; Easy soluble in water, soluble in liquid ammonia, light soluble in alcohol, insoluble in acetone and diethyl ether; volatilizing at 100℃ and breaking up into ammonia and hydrogen chloride and combing into small crystal ammonium chloride in smoke; aqueous solution is acid and has corrosion on black metal and other metal, especially on copper; but has no corrosion on cast iron.

【Uses of Ammonium Chloride】

Mainly used in mineral processing and tanning, agricultural fertilizer. Used as dyeing auxiliaries, plating bath additives, metal welding flux. Tin and zinc are also used for medicine, making candles, adhesives, chromizing, precision casting and manufacture of dry cells and batteries, and other salts.

Ammonium Chloride industrial Grade is an inorganic compound with the formula NH4Cl and a white crystalline salt that is highly soluble in water. Solutions of ammonium chloride are mildly acidic. Sal ammoniac is a name of the natural, mineralogical form of ammonium chloride. The mineral is commonly formed on burning coal dumps from condensation of coal-derived gases. It is also found around some types of volcanic vents. It is mainly used as fertilizer and a flavouring agent in some types of liquorice. It is the product from the reaction of hydrochloric acid and ammonia.

【Applications】Industrial Grade

1. The main application of ammonium chloride industrial is as a nitrogen source in fertilizers (corresponding to 90% of the world production of ammonium chloride) such as chloroammonium phosphate. The main crops are rice and wheat in Asia.

2. Ammonium chloride was used in pyrotechnics in the 18th century but was superseded by safer and less hygroscopic chemicals. Its purpose was to provide a chlorine donor to enhance the green and blue colours from copper ions in the flame.

3. It had a secondary use to provide white smoke, but its ready double decomposition reaction with potassium chlorate producing the highly unstable ammonium chlorate made its use very suspect.

1. Ammonium Chloride Granular,specific gravity1.532(17 ℃ ), easily absorbs moisture, and forms a cake, soluble in water, and the solubility varies as the temperature increases, sublimes at 340 ℃ .It appears strong corrosivity. Ammonium chloride Agricultural Grade Granular is made mechanical squeezing. The shape of granular decreases the loss of nitrogen. Good looseness, difficult to cake and long-term fertilizer efficiency would make it easy to be mixed with other granular fertilizers.It fits for large area mechanical fertilization espec-ially, which can reduce the labor intensity and the death of seedlingcaused by covering fertilizer.

【Storage】It should be stored in cool, ventilated and dry warehouse to avoid moisture. It should be away from acid and alkaline materials.
